Police professionals play a crucial role in the domestic violence response system. The workshop "Joint Forces: Advancing Police Responses to Domestic Violence" explored innovative approaches and multiagency cooperation to drive police action addressing violence against women from different angles.
Featuring contributions from both the ISEDA and TACTICS European experiences, the event offerseda dynamic agenda combining project insights, expert exchange, and interactive sessions. Participants gained practical takeaways including tools and strategies to strengthen teamwork and improve practices across sectors, to enhance police responses to domestic violence across Europe.
The TACTICS project was presented by Mari Puniste, University of Tartu who delivered a presentation on “The TACTICS strategy for effective collaboration addressing domestic violence” and Dimitra Mintsidis, WWP EN who showcased the dissemination materials developed as part of the project.
The ISEDA experience was showcased by Vanessa Ossa, Cologne Game Lab. Emmanuel Guardiola from Cologne Game Lab presented a demo of the ISEDA gamified tool for police training.
The workshop was attended by 75 professionals including practitioners from law enforcement agencies, civil society organisations, specialised services, academia, and policy makers and influencers, across Europe and beyond.
