Boys and young men are spending much of their time online, looking for guidance, belonging, and identity. Many of the spaces they encounter, especially the manosphere, promote rigid gender roles, anti-feminist messages, and emotional detachment. The manosphere shapes boys´ understanding of themselves, relationships, and society – even when these boys have never entered the manosphere. 

The 2025 Responsible Together campaign explored how digital spaces influence boys’ beliefs about masculinity, relationships, and power. We looked at the messages they absorb—directly or indirectly—from influencers, online communities, gaming cultures, and social media algorithms.

Our aim is to help practitioners, parents, and educators recognise the early signs of harmful online narratives, understand the language and logic of the manosphere, and create opportunities for healthier, more compassionate models of masculinity.
